Dr. Nikitina joined the Practice in 2017 and has since become a valued and trusted member of the medical team. She holds a Fellowship with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP), reflecting her commitment to high-quality, evidence-based care.
Dr. Nikitina is passionate about building long-term relationships with her patients and supporting them through all stages of life. She takes the time to listen, understand individual needs, and work collaboratively with her patients to develop tailored treatment and management plans.
Her broad medical expertise spans a range of clinical areas, with particular interests in:
Lifestyle Medicine - Integrating its six core pillars-nutrition, physical activity, sleep, stress management, social connection, and avoidance of harmful substances into the management of all medical conditions. She supports patients in building sustainable, healthy habits and addressing harmful behaviours. Dr. Nikitina is currently pursuing accreditation with the Australasian Society of Lifestyle Medicine, the first step toward fellowship.
Child & Adolescent Health – Dr. Nikitina enjoys supporting the health and development of children and teenagers, including routine health checks, immunisations, developmental assessments, and mental wellbeing.
Women’s Health – She provides comprehensive care in all aspects of women’s health, including menstrual issues, contraception advice (including Implanon and IUD insertions), fertility, antenatal care, and menopause management.
Mental Health – Dr. Nikitina offers a compassionate and confidential space for patients dealing with stress, anxiety, depression, and other mental health concerns. She is experienced in creating mental health care plans and works closely with psychologists and psychiatrists when needed.
Skin Cancer – She is trained in skin cancer detection and management, including thorough skin checks, biopsies, and minor surgical procedures for lesion removal.
Travel Medicine – Dr. Nikitina provides pre-travel health advice, vaccinations, and risk assessments for international travel, helping patients stay healthy abroad.
Diabetes Management – She supports patients in managing both Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes, focusing on lifestyle interventions, medication management, and regular monitoring.
Outside of work, Dr. Nikitina enjoys spending time with her family, gardening and growing her own vegetables and fruit, fermenting her own produce and making sourdough, staying active and going on regular ocean swims with the community, learning new skills and keeping up with the latest medical advancements.
